International Drug Scheduling; Convention on Psychotropic Substances; Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs; Ketamine and Nine Other Substances; Request for Comments

WHats this all about? : Well back in March 2015 the Chinese government trying to deal with increasing ketamine illicit abuse, submitted a proposal to the UN to place ketamine on the Schedule IV of the Convention on Psychotropic Drugs, essentially making ketamine to be considered like heroin in the production and restriction of the drug globally amongst signatory nations.

This proposal was postponed till now when its up for review. The FDA has invited open public comment on this proposal so that the USA Department of Health can formally submit a response to the UN.

Recommendation: USA health providers have only 4 days left ( 20th October deadline) to submit any comments to the FDA invitation. PLease do so!
