Previously the identity of the surgeon involved was not known but now New Zealand has awarded Dr Lydia Johns-Putra, a urologist from Ballarat, Victoria, with their highest civil honor for extraordinary action, The New Zealand Bravery Decoration. Humble as ever in her acceptance of the award, she inspires us all to make a difference, even when things are at their worst.
